After School Tutoring
Each Tuesday and Wednesday after school from 2:45PM to 3:45PM tutoring is available in the library. Hefner students may bring a topic or homework in any subject to receive assistance. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Metro Technology Center have an exciting opportunity for current 7th and 8th graders. They are offering two FREE one week aviation camps this summer – June 9-13 and July 14-18, 2014. The goal with these camps is to increase a student’s knowledge about aviation while gaining an understanding of the importance air transportation plays in our economy/society, and to introduce them to the variety of careers available in aerospace. Hefner Middle School OCCT/EOI State Testing
Students will be tested on the following dates
2014 OCCT Testing Dates: 7:40 am – 2:35 pm
8th Grade: April 10 & 14 April 21, 22 & 23 April 29 & 30 May 1
7th Grade: April 10 &11 April 16, 17 & 18 April 24, 25 & 28
6th Grade: April 14 & 15 April 21, 22 & 23
EOI Testing for Algebra I May 6 & 7 Geometry: May 7 & 8

- Attendance is mandatory
- Successful completion of OCCT is required for students to obtain a driver’s license
- End Of Instruction Test scores are recorded on your child’s high school transcript
- All high school students must pass 4 of 7 EOI tests to graduate
- Bring a #2 wood pencil (no mechanical pencils)
- Get a good night’s rest
- Arrive on time and eat a good breakfast. Testing will begin promptly at 7:40
